Happy 4th from our Family to Yours!
All of us here at Chase Construction North West Inc. want to wish you a very Happy Fourth of July! We especially want to thank our military for keeping our beautiful country safe, and free. We can’t wait for the opportunity to spend the day with our family and friends, and of course the amazing food, fun, and fireworks. On this very special day, we’d also like to thank our customers, both old and new, for giving us the chance to do what we love and make their homes more safe and beautiful. Seafair Summer Fourth– Happening at Gas Works Park in Seattle, this event will feature food vendors, exhibits, games, and a fireworks show at dusk! Going on from noon until 11pm.
Bellevue Family Fourth– This event will occur at Bellevue Downtown Park and will be a celebration with food, games, live music, and a fireworks show. This Bellevue event will last from 2-10:30pm.
Celebrate Kirkland– The Kirkland event for Fourth of July will feature a “decorate to celebrate” event for kids, a parade, music, picnic, and a fireworks display, all happening from 10am-10pm at Marina Park.
Tacoma Freedom Fair 4th of July– Tacoma’s celebration will include airshows, food, vendors, exhibits, rides, and a fireworks show over Puget Sound. The Freedom Fair will be happening at Marine Park on Ruston Way from 10am-10:30pm.
Bothell Freedom Festival– Join the city of Bothell for a pancake breakfast celebration from 8:30- 10:30am at the Downtown Fire House, followed by a children’s parade at 11:15! The perfect way to celebrate with your city and still have time for barbequing and spending time with your loved ones after!
Auburn 4th of July Festival– In Auburn, there will be a kid’s bike parade, entertainment on two stages, inflatable rides, a climbing wall and trampolines, a petting zoo and pony carousel, bingo, bocce, a car show, craft vendors, a book sale, food concessions, and a spray park. Wow! All happening from 11am-4pm at Les Groves Park!
Federal Way Red, White & Blues Festival– Will feature recreation and sports games, inflatables, entertainment/music on the main stage, and a fireworks show. This event is happening from 4- 10:15 at Celebration Park.
Wow! The Puget Sound sure has us covered in terms of places to celebrate on this great occasion! We also would like to feature fun Fourth of July themed recipe that we’re definitely going to try today- Red, White, and Blue Ice Cream Pie! Yum!
Ingredients:
1pt. Strawberry Ice Cream
1 Ready to Use Graham Cracker Piecrust
1 pt. Vanilla Ice Cream
1 pt. Raspberry Sorbet
1/4 c. Sugar
1/4 c. Water
1pt. Blueberries
1tsp. Fresh Lemon Juice
Blueberries and Mint
Directions:
- Make pie: Place strawberry ice cream in microwave oven and heat on High 20 seconds
to soften slightly, or place in refrigerator 30 minutes. Spoon strawberry ice cream into pie crust and spread evenly. Freeze until firm, about 15 minutes. Repeat with remaining ice cream and sorbet. Cover pie and freeze, at least 4 hours or overnight, until firm.
- Make blueberry sauce: Before serving, in 3-quart saucepan, combine sugar, water, and 2 cups blueberries; heat to boiling over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes or until blueberries soften and sauce thickens slightly, stirring occasionally. Stir in lemon juice. Let sauce cool until warm, then stir in remaining blueberries. Makes about 2 cups.
- To serve, let frozen pie stand at room temperature 10 minutes for easier slicing. Garnish pie with blueberries and mint leaves. Serve with blueberry sauce.
