Synthetic Roofing Underlayment

RhinoRoof U20 Synthetic Roofing Underlayment is an upgrade from traditional asphalt saturated felt paper. The RhinoRoof material is highly engineered, mechanically attached, coated woven synthetic roofing underlayment for sloped roofs. It provides many improvements over traditional underlayment that stem from its’ durable and high strength design, along with its’ fiber grip walking surface. The fiber grip textured walking surface provides the benefits of felt and can still be chalked. There are additional benefits that are offered to both installers and homeowners. The light weight, 42” width and 286 ft run length allows for fewer laps, cuts, and easier roll handling when compared with felt. This means that workers can do more work in less time, use less labor, and inventory fewer rolls. This efficiency relays directly back to the customer who can save on time and cost incurred. Next, RhinoRoof U20 is 25 times stronger than 15 lbs. felt and consequently offers superior wind resistance and durability through heavy roof traffic and less than ideal weather conditions. This also means less material damage and fewer post-install repairs. Also, unlike traditional felts, RhinoRoof U20 can be utilized even in the coldest temperatures without it becoming stiff and difficult to unroll. The material does not dry out, crack, or leach oils in the heat like felt, because it is 100% synthetic and will not absorb water and wrinkle like felt. It lays flat and will remain 100% impervious to mold. To top off the benefits, RhinoRoof U20 is backed by a 20 year manufacturer’s limited warranty.
