Summer is upon us Puget Sound and that means that kids are out of school and scouring for something fun to do at all times of day. There are a limited amount of activities to do at home and if you’re looking for a way to get out and have some fun in 
the sun, the city of Auburn has you covered for tomorrow, June 19th. Deemed “Kids Day,” Les Gove Park in Auburn is providing an exciting solution for the perpetual boredom that seems to plague kids. Happening from 11am-4pm, Kids Day is said to offer the perfect day for any child and with the plethora of activities available, the adults are sure to have at least a little bit of fun as well.
Games, Activities, and Much Much More!
The event offers a free alternative to a day spent in front of the TV. If you just feel like 
laying out and enjoying the sun, there will be live entertainment! For the thrill seekers, there will be inflatable rides, miniature golf, and a DARE expo. In case you already miss the adorable painting and activities your kids bring home from school, the creativity opportunities will not be in short supply at this event! There will be arts & crafts, over 80 activity and information booths, face painting, and an ArtRageous hands-on art experience! There will be plenty to take home and hang on the fridge proud parents! For a nominal fee, your family can also enjoy pony rides, bungy trampolines and the paintball target range! Lastly, when your hunger for excitement has been satisfied, there will be many food concessions to address the grumble in your tummies after such an exciting day.
A Fun Filled End to The Weekend
After a day of rest, head out to the Auburn Farmers Market on Sunday! It is happening at the Auburn Sound Transit Plaza from 10am-3pm. The International Farmers Market boasts the attendance of more than 40 vendors offering a variety of products. These range from fresh, locally grown and farm based foods to hand-crafted items, and concession stands that are restaurant based but offer a home-cooked taste. The city of Auburn is putting on this exciting event as well and it will also feature free 
performances, guest chef demonstrations with farm-fresh ingredients, children’s activities, and classes on health, nutrition, and gardening. Get out and have some fun this weekend Puget Sound!
