Provides superior fire protection: DensDeck® and DensDeck® Prime roof cover boards are excellent fire resistant barriers over combustible and noncombustible roof decks. Georgia-Pacific Fire Rated Products, such as DensDeck Roof Boards, are required by standards established by third party organizations to provide certain levels of fire resistance. This is established by testing specified building assemblies/systems in a laboratory setting under certain controlled conditions and pursuant to certain procedures. Holds up well under normal construction and maintenance foot traffic while stiffening and stabilizing roof decks: The enhanced DensDeck boards demonstrate superior compressive strength to support equipment and post-construction foot traffic. 
The DensDeck Prime panels show greater flexural strength and pull-through resistance than ¼” gypsum fiber boards in fastener system** testing.

Easy to install in all types of roof system: The coated surface of DensDeck Prime Roof Boards provides an ideal substrate for a wide variety of adhered roofing systems by allowing a uniform spread of adhesives, which results in a strong, consistent bond. In 2013, Georgia-Pacific Gypsum made several enhancements to DensDeck Prime Roof Board, and contractors particularly like its ease of handling, easy scoring and snapping with no special tools required.
Ideal product for direct membrane application: Another key feature of DensDeck board is
demonstrable dimensional stability so no gapping is required; and DensDeck panels are noncombustible, per ASTM E136. DensDeck board can be used in cold mastic, torch-applied modified bitumen as well as fully-adhered, single-ply systems. DensDeck Prime Roof Boards are resistant to mold growth, and have scored a rating of 10, the highest level of performance for mold resistance under the ASTM D3273 test method.
Tested within roofing systems for sound isolation: Sound Isolation solutions are made easy with DensDeck® Roof Boards. Introduced to the market nearly 30 years ago, DensDeck® Roof Boards are the first gypsum roof boards tested to contribute to Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings of up to 61 and Outdoor Indoor Transmission Class (OITC) ratings of up to 49 in roofing assemblies for commercial framed construction. This is important to meet the industries new standards, codes, and green building program demands. This also makes it an ideal material for buildings in noisy areas such as near airports, freeways, and railroads.
