The Ending Of A Thrilling U.S. Open Weekend!

US Open Chase Construction North West Inc.

The city ofย University Placeย and theย Chambers Bay Golf Courseย didย not disappointย players or fans at this yearโ€™s exhilaratingย U.S. Open. The crowd was typicalย for a Washington sporting event and theย cheers,ย screams, andย good timesย were not inย short supply. Our lead project manager, Joel, was lucky enough to attend the event, and hisย personal accountsย as well theย documentationย of the happeningsย all over Puget Soundย areaย businessesย andย restaurants, ensured nobody would be exempt from theย festivities. Traffic and security were very well taken care of so the Open brought nothing butย excitementย andย pride in our cityย for the residing fans of theย smallย andย beautifulย University Place.

Spieth, 21, Comes out Victorious!ย

Comingย out on topย at the end of the weekend ofย valiant effortsย fromย all participants, wasย 21ย year oldย Jordan Spieth. Theย effortย and likelyย endless practice timeย was well worth the reward as Spieth came out of the tournamentย 10 million dollars richer!ย Theย final momentsย before his big win hadย fans on the edge of their seatsย as Dustin Johnson needed to make one putt to win it all and the second to tie and mandate a playoff game the following day. However, after Johnsonย three-puttedย the last from 12 feet, Spiethย reigned victoriousย at theย biggest golf event of the year. In a touching acceptance speech, Spieth proclaimed he had wanted to hand his father the U.S. Open

Trophy hisย entire lifeย and the concurrence of his win andย Fatherโ€™s Dayย provided him with theย perfect opportunity.ย Spieth, who is on course to become theย first ever playerย to winย all four majorsย inย one calendar year, is theย youngest playerย to win the U.S. Open since Bobby Jones inย 1923. Though the complaints of some players about the course beingย too difficultย permeated throughout the tournament, those who performed well had even moreย prideย in themselves knowing they completed such aย trickyย andย challengingย course.ย Congratulations to Spieth and all the players!!!ย Furtherย congratulations to the city of University Place and theย incredibleย amounts ofย successful effortsย to put on such a huge event! The event brought muchย excitementย to ourย small, quaint residenceย and the U.S. Open will be anย integralย part of our cityโ€™s history forย many years to come!
